RentMen:
What are 5 things you can’t live without?
BrunoBrooks:
Public libraries, textiles, nature, companionship, a sense of usefulness
RentMen:
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
BrunoBrooks:
I used to travel a lot. My family loved traveling when I was growing up, and my previous career took me all around the country and the world for work. But I definitely identify more as a homebody. There are so many incredible things to see in the world, but there are also large pieces of my life I am trying to hone and improve that involve staying put. I have gradually been revamping my entire wardrobe using a book called The Curated Closet and trying to purchase sustainable clothing (check out goodonyou.eco which rates clothing brands by their environmental sustainability, commitment to fair wages, and focus on animal rights). I also want to learn how to sew my own clothes (I did some of this as a kid but have only done hand mending as an adult). I started vegetable gardening this year. I’m also trying to earn and save as much as possible so I can retire early and spend my life doing all the things I want to do (don’t know how the health insurance thing will work there, but we’ll see). There are so many things I want to do while I’m alive, and I’m trying to make the most efficient use of time possible
RentMen:
What kind of diet and fitness regimen do you follow?
BrunoBrooks:
I am on a very strict bodybuilding regimen. Have been working with a pro bodybuilder since the winter of 2023, and we are gradually transforming my physique. This requires 6 meals a day and high intensity workouts. And I have to eat A LOT of food to gain weight because I am a hardcore ectomorph. I eat as much (and frequently more) than most professional bodybuilders. So dieting is like a second job
RentMen:
What are your lifestyle specifics that makes who you are?
BrunoBrooks:
I like to stick to a pretty consistent schedule. Eight hours of sleep a night, working my day job, walking my dog three times a day, chores, and reading and needle arts for relaxing. Nice to spontaneously spend time with friends when the opportunities arise
