RentMen: If we sat on the beach and drank wine and ate great food just you and I, what would you tell me about yourself and your life?
I’d tell you that I regret nothing, that I find meaning in almost everything, a glimmer of hope, an inspirational message of becoming that can be gleaned from negative experiences, as well as the experiences I love and cherish most. I’ve welcomed the Rolodex of circumstances, high and low, as this sort of contrast makes the world spin on its axis—day and night—in steady rotation.

I’d confess that I’m not the happiest person in the world, nor the wealthiest, or most intelligent, but I believe my attention to the abundance that life can offer—whether physical or metaphysical—has purified my heart of the baggage or traumas one might assume a person in this profession would endure. In this sense, I see my life as a private/public companion to be deeply entwined with who I am as a human being.
