What should others absolutely know about you?
ash_porter:
People perceive me as being very reserved and sometimes intimidating or uninterested but really I am just a bit shy and the biggest softie you can imagine.
RentMen:
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
ash_porter:
I have so many hobbies, it's hard to answer. Most tend to come and go (you know, just trying stuff out) but a few, like camping and photography are very persistent. I also spin and dye my own yarn, which is a lot of fun.
For photography, I would call myself primarily a candid and portrait photographer. Whenever I go on a trip with friends, I try really hard to make sure I get at least one honest portrait of everyone I'm with. I also try to make sure it's a portrait that I know they'll like!! Everyone is beautiful and deserves to feel that way.
For camping, I really enjoy bikepacking. It's very empowering being able to bike straight from my front door to the mountains for a little weekend adventure.

What are 5 things you can’t live without?
ash_porter:
1. My bicycle. I use it for everything: running errands, commuting, recreation, bar crawls, camping, you name it.
2. My camera. I have a few different cameras but I almost always have one of them with me. You never know when inspiration will strike!
3. Down pillow. Do yourself a favor and spend the $$$ on a good, proper down pillow. You spend half your life with it after all, it might as well be comfortable.
4. Pizza. I could eat pizza every single day and never get tired of it...
5. My cat, she's perfect.

How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
ash_porter:
I travel a lot, typically 1-2x a month. I make a point of camping at least once a month, every month. Beyond that, there's very little that I enjoy more than finding a buddy and searching for that next adventure.
