A: Living an active lifestyle with type 2 diabetes has been an incredibly tricky. But an important learning experience for me, especially when it comes to making smart choices and prioritizing my health over indulgence. Managing my blood sugar levels with diet and exercise is essential, so I take careful note of my meal portion sizes and try to limit unhealthy snacking. This approach has been effective, as I'm proud to say my A1C is now well under control. My weight does fluctuate but Im the rare skinny diabetic most of the time.
A: My lifestyle is one of unpredictable late nights, spent in deep conversations with friends while we laugh and joke. We create lasting memories as Sparky, the life of the party, with each joke and funny anecdote I give more of myself away. As the night draws on, our laughter slowly begins to die down, and we eventually part ways, making plans to meet up again in a few days.
A: I have had the name Sparky since Jr High. I used to be the emo goth kid wearing chains & necklaces, well one of those jewlerys was a damn dog tag that i made at walmart. So I think it just stuck with me through the years
& it grew with me. Im no longer too emo and i hate wearing jewlery.
A: If we were on Pensacola Beach & eating strawberries or pineapples, I would probably talk about how pineapples take 2 years to grow & each plant only produces 1 fruit. I think that random fact reminds me of how focused and committed a person must been to nurture and watch something grow, even if the pay off isnt great.
A: That I don't have nothing to prove, I am forward thinking and happy with who i am. My experiences in the last few years could have left me defeated. But i'm grounded spiritually, mentally and physically and I would probably give you the shirt off my back, but in all honesty i was taking it off anyways.
A: I'm unapologetic when I go after something I want, never afraid to speak my mind. I'm always quick to make a clever comment and enjoy seeing the reactions I get from people. When it comes to sharing, I'm generous and open-hearted, often giving more than I take. Nothing makes me happier than seeing the ones around me in the world full of joy and knowing that I have had a part in creating that happiness.
