RentMen:
What kind of diet and fitness regimen do you follow?
MichaelDeCrow:
I don't have a specific diet that I follow but I do things to keep my body active and healthy. I do Yoga each morning to find my center and wake my body up. I like to go on a hike each week to keep myself active and connected to nature. Our bodies come from the Earth and all it's products so keeping that connection with the Earth and nature is important to me. Those things along with not over indulging in anything (positive or otherwise) keeps me in balance.
RentMen:
What do you do for fun?
MichaelDeCrow:
Hike. I live in Seattle and we have amazing hikes in our area. Every week I'm out on a trail somewhere, communing with nature and getting some good exercise in the process. The hikes are also a great stress reliever and afford me the opportunity to practice my other fun activity, photography.
RentMen:
What are your lifestyle specifics that makes who you are?
MichaelDeCrow:
Variety is the key for me. I enjoy learning new things, playing hard, working hard, hiking, eating, socializing and exploring. I try to do them all in moderation but with a lot of variety. Doing the same thing over and over doesn't bring me the newness that I enjoy or the variety that I require. I like encouraging guys to try something new to bring variety into their lives as well so I make it a point to practice what I preach. When I go to classes to learn about new techniques or processes, I'm constantly thinking how I can incorporate the things into my practice to continually infuse it with newness, variety and growth. By looking at my website at CrowBodyworks.com you can see that I currently offer a wide variety of experiences and I'm always working to add more to that.
Variety is the spice of my life.
RentMen:
How often do you travel? Do you prefer to travel or are you more of a homebody?
MichaelDeCrow:
Travel is a passion for me. I love doing it and have traveled to many fun places in my life: India, Spain, France, Italy, England, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Canada, The Netherlands and Germany, plus heaps of places within the good old U.S. of A. The travel I have done has definitely changed me and given me a broader perspective on life and especially on how the rest of the world see us in America. As for work, about the only traveling I do is down to Portland occasionally. Ideally I’d love to be able to travel around the globe bringing pleasure with me but it’s just not in the cards for me right now. I’ve spent a lot of time, money and effort making my amazing work studio and know that I offer the very best and more fulfilling experience there where I have all my gear, tools and equipment.
