A: Between being detained in North Korea and traveling with a hijab in Yemen, I’ve had an extremely captivating life and indeed, overcame many life-threatening challenges. I like to say I’m an old soul trapped in a young body.

A: I want to see the world. Follow a map to its edges, and keep going. Forgo the plans. Trust my instincts. Let curiosity be my guide. I want to change hemispheres. Sleep with unfamiliar stars. And let the journey unfold before me.
