A: Self-discipline, reliability, independence, courage, and passion.
A: Due to my parents’ diplomatic careers and the privileged life that comes with it (diplomatic passport, official residences and cars, drivers, cooks, housekeepers etc.), I’ve been lucky enough to live in six countries across every continent and have traveled to over 150 countries. To say the least, I’m not a homebody.
A: My adaptability: from a jet-setting childhood having dinner at the White House or attending Obama’s inauguration in 2008 to slumming it as a backpacker in South America, Central Asia, and Africa. I can undoubtedly adapt to any situation.
A: I was kidnapped in Afghanistan in 2018.
A: Swim among penguins in Antarctica - it was absolutely magical.
A: Between being detained in North Korea and traveling with a hijab in Yemen, I’ve had an extremely captivating life and indeed, overcame many life-threatening challenges. I like to say I’m an old soul trapped in a young body.
A: I want to see the world. Follow a map to its edges, and keep going. Forgo the plans. Trust my instincts. Let curiosity be my guide. I want to change hemispheres. Sleep with unfamiliar stars. And let the journey unfold before me.
