RentMen:
How do you go the 'Extra Mile' in your life?
Eddyvers:
It’s very interesting to answer this question.
Why do we always have to go extra mile in life?
With clients, I make sure we communicate with each other enough before the session. I always offer the best service I can also try to take care everyone in this industry around me. After a year or two… i realized “Pay it forward” doesn’t seem enough.
My answer is “do less,” and take a step back to observe. Who you truly are.
I ran into some people who’s purpose of life is just to consume the society and take from other’s but never have any sense of guilt. However I also saved a 7 months pregnant immigrant. Prevent a person from killing himself. Talked to a guy through his childhood trama. Introduced two gentlemen get to know each other and they are dating now.
Met the guy who hurt me the most but prepared me for this job. A very special blue Jay.
Therefore, My answer from a year ago compare to now is totally different.
“It’s ok~ you don’t always have go the “extra mile.”
Even just a small amount of your time to appreciate and celebrate you’re still alive.
The world is cruel. Try to be nice to each other.
Leave the extra space for yourself, not extra mile. Let the light come through.❤️
RentMen:
What do you do for fun?
Eddyvers:
I like to take a long walk in the night. The city lights with the hairy thin rain drops are my favorite scene.
Thanks to the latest iPhone hand shake prove function. I was able to capture those beautiful lights. They illustrate the perfect outline of the skyline, the cold contemporary architecture straight line soften up with the reflections.
With those pictures, I was able to express my feelings at the moment. From different angles, it can be interpreted as a symbol, faces, or even just one or multiple emotions. Just like a diary in just one picture with some extra draw lining. But only I can read it. My little secret 😉
RentMen:
What are your hobbies, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Eddyvers:
This one took me a long time to come up with the answer. I do know and have learnt a lot of different skills which is completely irrelevant to what I do nor even necessary… so I guess my answer is: Challenge myself.
Growing up having an identical twin brother who out shine me in everything at school. My brain was being told that I need to find the role model. “ be like him”
This is my strength and later on I realized it was my weakness as well. After graduation, no one will give you the guideline anymore. The excitement of free from being compared didn’t last too long for me.
I set the goal for myself… before I turned 30. I have to complete at least one Ironman race. I almost got myself killed at my first race. Haha. But because of that resolution I passed three spinning instructor license exams and that became my part time job before covid hit.
Last year, the man I was grateful for, reminded me how to breathe. Whenever I feel sad or having self doubt, I will jump on the spin bike, work on my breathing and remembering the connection of my body, to every single muscle. When the moment comes, you will know before it hits you. The prefect body balance… you’ll see the light tunnel😂
RentMen:
Tell us about the best experience you have had in life.
Eddyvers:
I won’t say there’s one thing, but rather than a period of timeline of your life.
When you look back… thinking you hit the bottom of your life and lost everything, but people still want to take advantage of you. And I was willingly let them do it… what I thought was the bottom of my life, hit the ground but didn’t crash. Instead, you kept on falling deep into the water until there’s no light.
A scammer knowingly abused me badly and even physically hurt me. A fake light…
You will be surprised how strong you are. Even for a false hope.
Everything happens for a reason, but you don’t need to know every reasons to make it happen.
I will never forget the scare he gave me, but I’m also grateful for him happened in my life…even it was just a fake light.
He made me who I am today. I was willingly let him. I lost the gamble on humanity.
It was the most incredible things I’ve ever witnessed. How fast you can fall… how quick can a person change.
I told the client I saw today I will pay it forward for his extra kindness to me. I take what I deserved and forward your love to the ones who is in need. 🙏🏻
We’ve the opportunity to touch people’s heart. I choose to heal not to steal.
